Allergen Friendly Halloween Candy!
A list of popular V/GF candy to hand out this Halloween:

Halloween is one of my top favorite holidays, I have always had the fondest of memories associated with all things Spooky and Fall-related. As a kid, my friends and I would plan our costumes for weeks, then we’d spend a day going to the mall or thrift shopping together to find the perfect pieces. Leading up to the 31st, I’d carve pumpkins with my family, go on long walks in the park next to us, decorate the house and lawn, and cozy up to watch scary movies together. Then on Halloween night, we would meet with a big group and go trick or treating for hours! (Did anyone else also use a pillowcase to hold their candy?)
We’d end the night at our local community hall, fit with cobwebs, tombstones, and a fog machine. We’d dance to music, grab a cup of hot chocolate, and warm up by the bonfire. My most-loved part of the night is when we would finally get home and I would sit on the living room floor with my mom, and we'd organize through all the candy I got. We’d sort it all into categories, and would find the most popular item vs the weirdest item (I believe I once received an eraser).
I hope that every kid gets to experience the fun that I had and continue to have around this time of year. That’s why I created a list of allergen-friendly (V/GF) candy to hand out. Every kid should get to be included, regardless of dietary restrictions. So, next time you're at the grocery store shopping for candy, try some of these out!
